The ZDB file extension is a data file format associated to an accounting software package called Quicken. The ZDB file format and Quicken were developed by Intuit Inc. The ZDB file was an online database file format. They were used to store online financial data. Quicken software is a tool used for tracking, planning and managing finances and assets. The software comes in several editions namely Quicken Deluxe, Quicken Premier, Quicken Home & Business and Quicken Rental Property Manager. The 2012 edition offers better tracking of equity, income and bill reminders plus a new multi-currency support feature. As of date, current versions of Quicken no longer used the ZDB file format but they can still be opened by using another financial planning tool called Mint. Files in the ZDB file format can be opened with Intuit Quicken Essentials for Mac and Intuit Quicken in Microsoft Windows-based systems or in Mac platforms.
